To achieve growth, Reddi-Wip had to expand into other categories but recent innovation had fallen flat due to narrow consumer perception.

Coffee additives was a crowded space filled with creamers and gimmicky flavors. I believed this market could be disrupted by allowing consumers to conveniently create an elevated coffee experience at home.

It wouldn’t be enough to create elevated packaging. The product had to behave like an experience with a barista.

Can finish, cap color and the actuator were the levers I had to work with as changing the shape was cost prohibitive. However, a patented nozzle design would give us the product performance we desired while retaining the signature Reddi-Wip woosh.

The Reddi-Wip Barista Series disrupted at shelf and in the market. Consumers were able to easily identify this innovation and understood intuitively its function.
